❇️ Personal Branding for Introverts

If the thought of "putting yourself out there" makes you want to hide behind a hedge at a networking event, you are not broken and you are not alone. Personal branding was never built for extroverts only. It just gets marketed that way.

Goldie Chan who built an entire career (and a book) around this idea describes herself as an introvert with social anxiety, someone who has genuinely hidden in hotel rooms during conferences to recover. Her approach was not to force herself to push through it. It was to budget her energy instead.

Here is what that looks like in practice:

1. Protect your energy for the work that matters.
If you are speaking, filming, or writing that day, that is where your energy goes. Skip the extra mingling that drains you without adding anything back. You do not owe every room your full social battery.

2. Say no to formats that were never built for you.
When a publisher pitched her a big, high-energy conference to promote her book, she turned it down. It contradicted the exact audience she was trying to reach. If a "networking mixer" or "get on camera every day" strategy feels wrong for you, that is data, not weakness. Build a format that fits how you actually operate.

3. Stop chasing the "loud" version of personal branding.
It was never about being the most extroverted person in the room or performing a polished, filtered version of yourself. In fact, audiences are moving the opposite direction. Some of the most successful creators right now are going out of their way to look unedited and off the cuff, even shooting on expensive cameras dressed up to look like an iPhone, because people are starving for something that feels human in an increasingly AI-generated feed.

4. Consistency beats charisma.
You do not need to be the loudest voice. You need to be a clear one, and a consistent one, flaws included. That is a game an introvert can absolutely win.

If you have been holding back because you assumed personal branding required a personality you do not have, that assumption was the only thing in your way.

If you're looking for inspiration this week, you can look to Charlie. He creates content about turning a craft skill straight out of school into a working brand, one striking piece at a time.

What raw skill have you been sitting on instead of putting in front of people?

🤖 Prompt: The $2,000 Route Finder

You know we love helping you build your 5-9 so today's a super cool prompt to help you find ways to build your side husstle/business.

"Based on what you know about me, my work and the skills I have, give me 3 routes to $2,000 a month using only what I already know how to do. For each route, tell me who the buyer is, what I would sell them, what I would charge, and how many sales a month I need. Rank them by how quickly I could get the first payment into my account. Ask for more detail if required."
