❇️ A workflow that changed my life

I used to struggle with finding time. Every week I'd open my calendar and try to cram in everything I wanted to do, and it never worked. I'd just end up overwhelmed looking at it.

So I found a better way.

Step 1: Identify your goals for the week. What do you actually want to achieve? Be as specific as possible.

Step 2: Estimate how long each task will realistically take. For example: posting 1 video breaks down into 1 hour planning, 1 hour scripting, 1 hour shooting, 1 hour recording, 1 hour editing. That's 5 hours, not "post a video" as one vague line item.

Step 3: Connect Google Calendar to Claude as a Connector. (Google it, or just ask Claude how.)

Step 4: Use this prompt. TL;DR, it has everything built in. You just fill it up.

Step 5: Update it as you go, based on what worked and what didn't. You'll start noticing which days you're naturally better at certain kinds of work, and which days are just heavier no matter what.

Come back to this email and tell me if this worked for you! :)

🦄 Creator of the week: Jaquan Shuford

Fun story: I met Jaquan in the washroom at an Adobe event. Totally random. But I absolutely loved his content once I checked it out. Jaquan Shuford (@jaquanshuford) has built a 147K-follower audience around vlogs, tech, and minimalist living, all while working in healthcare IT. He's also a certified Part 107 drone pilot, which shows up in the aerial shots scattered through his feed.

If you're looking for inspiration this week, you can look to Jaquan. He creates content about living simply and intentionally, documenting an ordinary life in a way that feels worth watching.

What would your day-to-day look like if you filmed it like it mattered?

You don't need a big move or a rebrand to have a story worth telling. The version of your life you're living right now, unedited, is enough of a starting point. Document it before you think it's ready.

Check out his profile for details here.

🤖 Prompt: LinkedIn posts in your voice

"Here are five of my best LinkedIn posts. Study them and write a set of rules that describe how I write: my sentence length, my tone, how I open, how I close, the words I use and the words I avoid. Save these as my voice rules and apply them to everything you write for me from now on."
Write your own ideas and get AI to format it to get your first draft.

🧃EP03: Build a Creative Career by Just Keeping Going

Recently on the Creator Juice Podcast, we sat down with Adam Bosley, the Toronto-based illustrator known online as Adam the Illustrator, whose character work and uplifting messaging trace back to a series of pandemic-era how-to guides he almost took in a much darker direction.

Adam's advice for anyone building something of their own: “Keep going. Keep stacking those days, because one day's going to add up to another, to another, to another.” He followed it with: “You will absolutely get better at what you do. It's a proven fact.”

The episode also gets into Adam’s story, the moment his six-year-old niece nearly made him cry, and why he's turning his characters into physical toys.
