❇️ Let's make your 2024 vision board + How I made mine [Video tutorial]

Published 2 months ago • 2 min read

Making your vision board alone can be scary, so I thought I would record a video of me making my vision board and share it with you.

I had already posted my 2024 vision on Instagram but I thought I would complete it my making a proper OG style vision board using Adobe Express.

Not the most comfortable thing to do because my vision is kinda personal (👀😅) but I hope this motivates you to create your own.

▶️ My vision board 2024

Here's a totally impromptu and unplanned video of me making my vision board using Adobe Express.

(Hope this gives you courage to make yours before February ends!!)

How to make your own vision board?

Creating a vision board is like painting the canvas of your future with the brushstrokes of your present aspirations, dreams, and desires. (Not trying to romantisize it but it is kinda romantic 🤷‍♂️)

It's a tangible manifestation of "where you want to go" mixed with "what brings you joy." But where do you begin? Let's break it down into simple steps:

  1. Where to Start? Your vision board adventure begins with clarity. What are your goals? Dreams? Desires? Start with a brainstorming session—no filters, just pure, unadulterated ambition and joy. Write down everything that you want to achieve.
  2. Organize: See if you're able to organize your ideas into Life Categories (Personal, Professional, Creator) or Based on Time (Q1, Q2, etc...)this will bring YOU more clarity
  3. Choosing Your Elements: Vision boards thrive on diversity—photos, quotes, magazine cutouts, and anything else that resonates with your soul. Think of each element as a puzzle piece of your future.
  4. Using Shapes: Add basic shapes such as rectangles, circles, hearts, lines, and more to your designs. Once the shape is added to your project, you can resize and restyle including customizing the colors within your shape as well as the roundness & thickness of the borders.
  5. Using Images: Use Adobe stock images where you see fit or just get images from the internet if you have no intention to use the images for any commercial purposes.
  6. Adobe Express Magic: Here's where the fun really begins. Adobe Express offers a treasure trove of features perfect for bringing your vision board to life digitally. Like quick actions to remove background or to Erase Tool to remove unwanted objects. You could even find various templates that you could utilize to bring in more design elements in your board. OR You could GENERATE your own images using Adobe Firefly!
  7. Representation: You dont need to perfectly represent everything in the most obvious ways. Sometimes subtle images can be used so that only YOU know why that image stands for on your vision board. Save a few easter eggs for yourself 😉
  8. No Rules, Just Joy: Remember, your vision board is a reflection of you. There are no rules in creativity, only pathways to what brings you happiness and motivation. Mix, match, and experiment. Your vision board, your rules.

Please tag me on Instagram @vishaljosephroy if you end up making your vision board. I would be so happy to know if you make it. 😬
